How can one live without art? As an artist the process of creating art can be rewarding, fulfilling and painful; I anguish and grow with every creation. It is vital for me to create - to release my emotions, thoughts, reactions, etc.
My work represents my perception of the world; persons, places or things of interest, or I try to make a statement based on personal experiences. Every year I travel around the world to study and create art. The countries that inspire me the most, aside from the US, include France, The Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, and The Caribbean Islands.
The media and color I use reflect and expose my thoughts and reactions. The type of medium or media I work in depends largely on not only what I am trying to convey but also the subject matter. I mostly use oil these days, though I also work in acrylic and watercolor when the mood hits. I am excited and compelled to explore the use of line, color, texture, movement, and mood in my art.
I am a full-time artist, when I am not painting commissions I am painting for gallery shows and competitions. I have several shows coming up.
