Margaret is basically self taught. She studied with an artist from California in Buffalo, NY, Natalie Salamone, won first place in the school's student art exhibit for her first portrait, ‘Flower Girl'. Also studied with Russian Artist Gregory Stepenyantz on Hilton Head Island and painted with the Hilton Head Art League.

She took some time away from her creativity to work as a Pharmacy Technician on Hilton Head, but since moving to Aiken has picked up her brush once again. Most recently taking lessons at Aiken Center for the Arts.

Margaret is also an avid knitter and needle-worker. She lives with her husband Michael and has two grown sons and four grandchildren. She volunteers at Aiken Center for the Arts and is a member of Aiken Center for the Arts and Aiken Art Guild.
