Originally from Sheridan, Wyoming and as a child lived in Nebraska and Colorado. I remember many stories heard directly from old cowboys that lived in the 1800's. I traveled in the Navy and later as a computer engineer and nuclear engineer in South America and Taiwan.
I painted acrylics in the 1980's while living in Taiwan and to this day I believe my photographic endeavors are influenced by the Chinese artists I met there. The Chinese taught me that simplicity and the sublime are more important than the complex and vulgar. Yin and Yang does not mean that there is no middle. A tied knot has two ends, but the knot is in the middle.
I now enjoy only the photographic arts and am constantly amazed by the things God reveals to me and the perspective he gives me to paint them with my camera.
Although I love to travel, I believe that I can sit on a stump in the woods behind my house and find a plethora of subjects to capture with my lens.
