President's Note

As the new guild president, I am pleased to welcome new and renewing members for the 2011/2012 year. We encourage artists of all skill levels to join. Having begun the year with a wonderful September meeting, we are looking forward to a year of new and exciting events and meeting programs that will help us grow as artists.

The mission statement of AAG is: The mission of AAG is to create and to publicize opportunities for its members to exhibit and to sell their art, to develop educational and other benefits for its members, and to stimulate community interest in the visual arts.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many of our members these objectives continue to be met. A concerted effort in the last few years has also made it possible to provide numerous scholarships for selected art students at USCA.

I am always amazed at the breadth of talent in this organization and the generosity of members who are willing to share their considerable skills and expertise with the rest of us. Thanks to you all.

We welcome suggestions by all members. Please feel free to contact any one of our board members.

Mary Ann Brock
